Always a good read, Fred on Everything does it again and uncovers yet another piece of evidence that the American Empire is in serious decline.
Diversity. Always diversity. I learn that the University of Delaware has instituted mandatory indoctrination of students to make them appreciate diversity. Delaware is going to eradicate racism, sexism, and all. It’s going to make the world safe for diversity.
I thought diversity just meant that you had to buy a new bicycle three times a year.
From the university’s training material, “A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. ‘The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination….”
The mind boggles.
Read the full article and the original document Fred refers to. I can’t seem to find the above quote in the original article, but there’s plenty of hits on the web when you search for it.

It’s almost as if the University of Delaware is instituting some kind of cult like program on all students arriving at residence. One wonders what the Deans, Professors, and others of their ilk at that institution have been smoking . . . An intervention may be needed.
ExCUSE me?? A racist is anyone who discriminates against another person, based solely on their race. To pick and choose who gets to be called a racist, based on their race is… well, racist.

I just finished reading the original UoD document that I learned about earlier on Fred on Everything, and I’ve basically concluded that this is a university for dumb, dumb, people. Not just the people that benefit from the quaint American practice of university-level remedial reading (another Fred on Everything discovery), but people who need remedial shoe-tying and remedial not-sucking-your-thumb.
I imagine a lot of people got ripped off about that, signing on for something they weren’t after. And that may be excusable. This is the first time I’ve heard of such a thing myself. But, now that it’s out, there should be a slight decline in UoD new tuitions, no?
As for the propaganda about what makes a racist, well, anyone with enough grey matter to understand what their indoctrinators are saying, but who still can’t make their own opinions, is and can only be someone else’s brain-bitch anyway.
