Yet another collection of random links and rantings of a greying unix geek with a photography bent. Pass the Guinness and Grecian Formula.
A little while ago I said I wanted this to be my next phone.
I take that back.
I had no idea that you could get a celluar phone experimenters kit (they use a GM862).
Nice, but bit pricey. Let’s see how many pennies I have in the spare-change bank that’s been gathering coins for the last 10 years.

Sorry, hopper. We’re going to pull the rug out from under you soon to upgrade you to Solaris 10 . . .
A cow-orkler just said, as I was complaining to him about Novell client installer throwing errors, that “the product just plain sucks ass”. I believe that sentiment also applies towards groupwise.
Seems that most, if not all, of the stuff developed at Novell is just plain weird, confusing, fragile, broken, pieces of shit. Excluding SuSE but then they bought that and haven’t messed too much with it, I hope. I guess I should fire up SLED10 and SLES10 and make sure that they’ve not completely brainfucked the SUSE product too, whether by incompetence or by being in near proximity to the development team nowadays.
bah.
Software sucks. hardware sucks. It all sucks, just varies in terms of how it sucks and how badly compared to the other suckage.
Looks like we’re about to get a roundabout at the intersection of highways 8 and 22 on the west side of Calgary.
Okay, sure. The intersection is really busy and if this doesn’t completely confuse and fubar the situation as opposed to a full interchange that supposedly costs 5x as much, I’ll go along with it.
How about also twinning highway 8? Or putting cement barriers in along the centre line all the way from 22 to glenmore trail/sarcee intersection? Too many idiots on highway eight causing or nearly causing many head on collisions. Makes for very . . . interesting driving on that stretch at night coming home from camping etc.
